William M. Capuano, 91, of the Holiday City Berkeley Section of Berkley Township, died on Thursday January 25, 2018 at Community Medical Center in Toms River.
Born in the Bronx, New York, he lived in New York for most of his life before moving to Berkeley Township 26 years ago.
Prior to his retirement, Bill had been a maintenance worker at Duchess County Community College in New York. He served as an Electrician’s Mate Third Class with the Navy during World War ll. Upon his discharge, he was transferred to the Navy Reserves where he retired after 20 years of service.
He is a member of the American Legion Toms River Post #129.
Son of the late Michael and Lillian Capuano, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gloria Santopietro Capuano, three sisters-in-law, Margaret Angelillo, Maria DiBartolo and her husband John all of Staten Island and Ann Santopietro of Myrtle Beach, SC. Also Survivng are his nieces and nephews, Maryann, Margaret, Dana, Danielle, Dara, Yvonne. Lori, Judy, Bernadette, James, Robert and Charles and cousin Patty.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Monday January 29,2018 from2-4 and 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd Toms River.
