Andrew Cameron, 86, loved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away on March 10, 2018 at Community Medical Center, Toms River
Andy was born in Trenton, NJ and had lived in Toms River since 1991.
He proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict as a Marine from 1951 to 1953.
Andy enjoyed a career at Fisher Body in Trenton, ending as the Superintendent of Maintenance for the plant in 1976.
He was a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles football fan and enjoyed their recent Super Bowl Championship. In his youth, he played Semi Pro football for the Santuzza Oilers until 1951.
Andy also followed the Pennsbury High School Football and Basketball teams, was an avid reader and history buff, especially interested in World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth Cameron of Toms River.
Andy was the loving father to and is survived by his children Andrew Cameron and his wife Mary Alice, Kathleen Cameron, Nancy Cameron, and Robert R. Cameron and his wife Diane.
He is survived also by granddaughter Olivia and grandson Ron, sister Mary Gelak and various nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Don, in 2017.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 19, 2018 12:00pm until the funeral service at 2:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
