Helen (Dec) Batcha, 90, of Toms River, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018.
She was born and resided in Piscataway, NJ, until 1996, when she and her husband, the late Milan S. Batcha, moved to Toms River.
Before her retirement in 1990, she worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb in New Brunswick for 21 years. Previously, she was employed at National Starch and Chemical in Plainfield, where she and her husband met.
Helen was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church in Plainfield for many years, and more recently was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Twp.
She was a member of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Retirees Club, Holiday City West Women’s Club, and Sokol USA Lodge 220.
Helen was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Milan S. Batcha, five brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Gordon) Nelson of Bayville, two granddaughters, Andrea Miller of Manahawkin and Laura (Mario) Tirondola of Lanoka Harbor, and five great grandchildren.
Helen is also survived by her sister, Frances Pezzei of Lincroft.
At Helen’s request, donations in her memory can be made to the Holiday City First Aid Squad.
The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday 9:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp. Interment will be private.
